Come From Away tells the remarkable true story of thousands of airline passengers stranded in Gander, Newfoundland, following the September 11 attacks, and the community that welcomed them with extraordinary kindness.

In honor of the courage, service, and compassion demonstrated by first responders on 9/11 and every day since, Eight O’Clock Theatre is proud to invite local first responders to attend our final dress rehearsal as our honored guests.

Eight O'Clock Theatre - Tampa Bay Florida

Since 1982, Eight O’Clock Theatre has entertained theatre-goers in the Tampa Bay area with live performances, bringing Broadway, Off-Broadway and original productions to the stage, first in the Largo Community Center, and, since 1996, in the Tonne Playhouse at the Largo Cultural Center, now called the Central Park Performing Arts Center.

The mission of Eight O’Clock Theatre is to entertain, inform, and educate, thereby enriching the cultural life of the Tampa Bay area. EOT shall provide area residents the opportunity both to attend and to participate in quality presentations of a cross-section of the finest theatrical works available. Eight O’Clock Theatre is dedicated to presenting a diverse and entertaining slate of high-quality, volunteer-driven theatrical experiences that educate, stimulate, and enrich the entire community.
