Video submissions will be accepted until end of day February 16, 2023.

Please prepare 16 bars of a song (in your key) that showcases your voice.

Bring sheet music; a pianist will be provided.

No acapella or recorded music.

Wear or bring proper dance attire (no sandals or flip-flops).

Bring Character/Jazz Shoes.

There may be readings from the script.

Bring a current resume and headshot if you have them.

Be prepared to provide any conflicts you may have during the rehearsal period.

We rehearse Monday-Thursday from 7:00 - 10:00 PM and Sunday from 1:00 - 5:00 PM

All roles are unpaid.

Children’s Roles

OLIVER TWIST:
(Leading Role, Male-Identifying, 8 - 13) A young workhouse orphan. Vocal range: A3-F5 British accent (not Cockney).  
   
THE ARTFUL DODGER:
(Supporting Role, Male-Identifying, 12 – 18) Fagin's brightest pupil who befriends Oliver. Vocal range: A3-F5 (Cockney accent)  
 
BET:
(Featured Role, Female-Identifying, 13 – 20) A young girl in Fagin's establishment - idolizes Nancy. Vocal range: C4-C5 (Cockney accent)  
   
CHILDREN’S ENSEMBLE:
(All genders, under 18)  

Adult Roles

FAGIN:
(Leading Role, Male-Identifying, 40+) A greedy overseer. Vocal range: B3-Fb5 (Cockney accent)  
   
NANCY:
(Leading Role, Female-Identifying, 18-35) A graduate of Fagin's gang, and Bill Sikes’ obedient follower. Vocal range: A3-B4 (Cockney accent)  
   
BILL SIKES:
(Supporting Role, Male-Identifying, 25-50) A villain in his prime; violent and menacing. Vocal range: C#3-C4 (Cockney accent)  
   
MR. BUMBLE:
(Supporting Role, Male-Identifying, 18+) A large and pompous Beadle of the workhouse. Vocal range: C3-A4 (Cockney accent)  
   
WIDOW CORNEY:
(Supporting Role, Female-Identifying, 18+) A sharp-tongued, domineering widow - the Workhouse Mistress. Vocal range: C4-E5 (Cockney accent)  
   
MR. BROWNLOW:
(Featured Role, Male-Identifying, 18+) An old gentleman of wealth and breeding. May double in ensemble. Vocal range: Any (British accent)  
   
MR. SOWERBERRY:
(Featured Role, Male-Identifying, 18+) The Undertaker. Doubles in the ensemble. Vocal range: Bb3-F4 (Cockney accent)  
   
MRS. SOWERBERRY:
(Featured Female, Female-Identifying, 18+) Undertaker’s wife and his overseer. Doubles in the ensemble. Vocal range: Bb4-F5 (Cockney accent)  
    
MR. GRIMWIG:
(Featured Role, Male-Identifying, 18+) A doctor. Doubles in the Ensemble. (British accent)  
   
MRS. BEDWIN:
(Featured Role, Female-Identifying, 18+) The Brownlow's Housekeeper. Doubles in the Ensemble. Vocal range: C4-Bb5 (British accent)  
     
CHARLOTTE:
(Featured Role, Female-Identifying, 18-30) The Sowerberrys’ daughter; shrill and promicuous. Doubles in the Ensemble. (British accent)  
     
NOAH:
(Featured Role, Male-Identifying, 18+) The Sowerberrys’ pimply apprentice. Doubles in the Ensemble. (British accent)  
     
ENSEMBLE:  
(Ages 18-70+) A large ensemble of all ages to play street vendors and townspeople. Many featured roles and solos will be pulled from the ensemble. Vocal range: All
