Please prepare 16 bars of a song (in your key) that showcases your voice.

Bring sheet music; a pianist will be provided.

No acapella or recorded music.

Wear or bring proper dance attire (no sandals or flip-flops).

Bring Character/Jazz Shoes.

There may be readings from the script.
Bring a current resume and headshot if you have them.
Be prepared to provide any conflicts you may have during the rehearsal period.
We rehearse Monday-Thursday from 7:00 - 10:00 PM and
Sunday from 1:00 - 5:00 PM


All roles are unpaid.

Roles are as follows:


VIOLET NEWSTEAD:
(Lead Female, 40-50) The company's Head Secretary and Mr. Hart's Administrative Assistant, she is a single mother and typically stands up for what she believes in. Attractive, strong, ambitious. Vocal range: F3-D5

DORALEE RHODES:
(Lead Female 20-30) A young, sexy spitfire who works at Mr. Hart's office. She is proof that there is more to a woman than just her looks. Vocal range: G3-E5

JUDY BERNLY:
(Lead Female, 30-35) The "new" girl at the firm, she has been burned by her husband's affair and is searching for personal empowerment. Insecure, determined, and hopeful. Vocal range: Ab3-F5

FRANKLIN HART, JR.:
(Lead Male, 45-50) One of the firm's executives and a notorious chauvinist. He is capable of faking charm but usually shows his true colors as an arrogant, self-absorbed boss. Vocal range: C3-Gb4

ROZ KEITH:
(Supporting Female, 35-45) The attentive office gossip queen and snitch. She has an unrequited love for Mr. Hart and will do anything she can to win his approval. Vocal range: G3-C5

JOE:
(Supporting Male, 25-35) A handsome, young office accountant. Genuine and nice, and smitten with Violet. Vocal range: B2-G4

DWAYNE RHODES:
(Featured Male, 25-30) Doralee's attractive husband. He is very supportive of her professional pursuits. Doubles in ensemble. Vocal range: E2-G4

JOSH NEWSTEAD:
(Featured Male, 15-18) Violet's awkward teenage son. May double in ensemble. Vocal range: Any

DICK BERNLY:
(Featured Male, 35-45) Judy's soon-to-be ex-husband. An average guy, he is sporting a little less hair and a little more paunch than he did ten years ago. Doubles in ensemble. Vocal range: Any

MISSY HART:
(Featured Female, 25-35) Franklin Hart's wife, clueless to her husband's true nature. Doubles in ensemble. Vocal range: Any

MARIA DELGADO:
(Featured Female, 20-30) A young and vibrant secretary in Hart's office. Doubles in ensemble. Vocal range: F4-D5

KATHY:
(Featured Female, 30-40) A secretary in Hart's office with a tendency to gossip. Doubles in ensemble. Vocal range: G4-E5

MARGARET:
(Featured Female, 30-50) A secretary in Hart's office with a tendency to drink. Doubles in the ensemble. Vocal range: Any

RUSSELL TINSWORTHY:
(Featured Male, 50-65) Franklin Hart's boss and Chariman of the Board. A good man, who may be wiser to Hart's ways than he lets on. Doubles in the Ensemble. Vocal range: Any

ENSEMBLE:
This is an energetic show for the ensemble. Must sing and moving well a plus. Each ensemble member will play a varied array of roles from hospital workers, office employees, and police officers. Vocal range: All
