Please prepare 16 bars of a Musical Theatre song (in your key) that showcases your range and personality.

Bring sheet music; a pianist will be provided.
No acapella or recorded music.

Wear or bring proper dance attire as a movement combination may be taught (no sandals or flip-flops).

There may be readings from the script.

Rehearsals are Monday-Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons.

Please bring a list of any conflicts to the audition along with a
current headshot and resume (if you have one).

Sweet Charity explores the turbulent love life of the unflappable Charity Hope Valentine, a hopelessly romantic but comically unfortunate dance hall hostess in 1960’s New York City. With a tuneful, groovy score by Cy Coleman, sparkling lyrics by Dorothy Fields, and a hilarious book by Neil Simon, Sweet Charity captures all the energy, humor, and heartbreak of life in the big city for an unfortunate but irrepressible optimist trying to find her dream and make something of herself. This brassy score includes such hits as Big Spender, Baby, Dream Your Dream, The Rhythm of Life, and the energetic If My Friends Could See Me Now.
